Wikipedia

Special Message by President Roh Moo-hyun on Korea-Japan Relations

The Korean who laughs at Hiroshima atom bomb
Japanese Ambassador insulted at COEX gathering in Korea.
He explained there are three kinds according to how the whisky and beer are mixed. "When a small glass of whisky is mixed into a glass of beer, it is called 'atomic poktanju' because it makes bubbles that look like a mushroom cloud. When a small glass of beer is mixed into a glass of whisky, it is called 'hydrogen poktanju', and a glass of bourbon added to a glass of whisky is called 'neutron poktanju,'" he said.
DHL Korea president Alan Cassels said, "It is interesting to discover that there are so many kinds of poktanju. I sometimes enjoy it, and I can tolerate two or three glasses without difficulty. Japanese Ambassador to Korea Shotaro Oshima was diplomatically restrained. "I can't drink at all, but it's interesting to learn about poktanju culture," he said.

Japan-South Korea Ties on the Rocks
He’d rather be fishing
In the midst of fears over the rising tensions between Japan and Korea over the former’s plans to conduct a hydrographical survey in the waters surrounding the Dokdo islets, the unwavering determination to defend the homeland can be seen in the eyes of a soldier guarding the area.
Speaking at a parliamentary committee on unification and foreign affairs, Foreign Minister Ban Ki-moon further supported the possible shift to a hard-line stance by saying the government can afford to risk its ties with Tokyo in exchange for rights over Dokdo.
"The government has always put higher importance on the Dokdo issue than on the Korea-Japan relations. We plan to take various measures to fortify our effective control over Dokdo," said Ban.

Not sure if you’ve checked this post over at the Marmot’s Hole concerning the Bubble Sisters vs. their Japanese counterparts the Gosperats but if you haven’t, then you should, and not just because of the post itself, but for some of the classic comments that follow. Let me give you two examples to show you what I mean:
From a commenter named ‘Mailman’:
Wedge, that is the first time that I hearing about someone having a difficult time renting in Japan due to race. I would expect that to be the case in Korea, but not Japan. I have a hard time believing what you claim.
Comparing Korea to Japan is like comparing a cheap trap can Hyundai with an Accura or a Lexus. Japanese are a noble race of people with Samurai warrior spirit pumping thu their veins. Japanese are born warriors, Koreans are born losers and slaves. Japan means cool, Korea is not. Japan has anime, sushi, gadgets, Sony, and Toyota. Korea has lots of spit, barf, broken windows, buildings that collapse on their own, cheap immitation knock offs like Samsuck and Hyunday noway. Japan is clean, beautiful and serene. Korea has some of the most filthiest and ugliest cities in the world. Seoul reminds me of India. At least Indians don’t hoark, spit, and shit all over the streets in public as in Korea. Japan has sushi, Korea has kimchi - disgustingly smelly and unappealing. Japanese are like Jews - honest, smart, and blessed by God - a chosen people. Koreans are like Arabs - violent, noisy, dirty, stubborn, unreasonable, and cursed by God - bunch of outcasts living in a hermit kingdom. North Korea is the true face of Korea. South Korea looks only comparably better because of the generosity of Japan, US, and other generous nations. Without that, South Korea would look exactly like North Korea.
As Curzon said, “the Korean group look revolting, with sneering faces that do nothing less of mocking their subject”. “The Japanese team look respectable”, and I would like to add, handsome. The Japanese team is honoring the blacks for their propensity for musical talent. While Korean group consists of fat ugly broads with hair rollers and thick lips. The Japanese group can sing. But we all know about the K pop and their talent level (or lack thereof). That is what I mean by racialism. The Japanese group has self respect and they are celebrating the differences of each cultures of the world. On the other hand, foreigners can’t even walk down the streets without being attacked, spat upon, and accosted verbally. The Koreans should stop whining about “racism” in Japan when they should be looking in the mirror and see what’s looking back.
I’m really, really hoping he wasn’t serious because I laughed my ass off. But not to be outdone, another commenter answered back:
Mailman,
It is clear that you hate Korea. If so, why do you have interest in Korea or even live there? Is it because you’re a Jew?
Oh. My. God. That was just hilarious.

Holy shit. Thank god for people like you who are around to set the record straight. This makes me think I should trust even LESS of what the Korean media claims. Having recently read much about the history between Japan and Korea and opening my mind to views opposing the established Korean views I am amazed to learn how much seems to have been invented and blamed on Japan. I’ve lived in Korea for two years and heard only the Korean side and it’s easy to see how Koreans have such a hardcore hatred of Japan. Korean schools and Korean media must be a factor holding Korea back internationally. (Discussion please). I understand Korea suffered under the Japanese and what Japan did in WWII was shocking and terrible. But the vast majority of Koreans I have spoken to don’t know anything about the numerous apologies, the millions in reparations money and seem to easily dismiss the 60 years of peace between the two nations which have existed since the end of the war as being not good enough or not sincere. Koreans seem to want to become a big player not only in Asia but the whole world, however at the same time they attack their closest ally (USA), take a shit on Japan at every chance they get and lick the sweat off Kim Jong Ill’s hairy balls with pleasure. Why would anyone in the world take Korea seriously? Hub of Asia? Keep up the good work exposing this kind of crap!
PS: I don’t hate Korea (I live here don’t I?), I hate bullshit and lies wherever they exist.
